How to Make the Most of This Course

Welcome to the LinkedIn course for Virtual Assistants, the ultimate training on how to turn LinkedIn into a revenue generating machine. 

A well-crafted LinkedIn profile can be far more powerful than any single resume, cover letter, or website. By the end of this course, you'll have a stellar LinkedIn profile that attracts your dream clients and acts as a lead generation magnet for your business. 

Here are some tips to ensure success in this course.

  • Commit yourself to the content and platform. Like any other social platform, the more effort you put into LinkedIn, the more success you'll receive back. LinkedIn is not a passive platform, so be prepared to spend the same time and effort on it as you would on your Instagram (or TikTok, Twitter, et cetera). 
  • Set aside time each day to complete at least one lesson. The course is packed with valuable content, but it can be easy to feel burned out after trying to cram too much new information into your brain. This masterclass should not be a throw-back to your all-nighter college days. Instead, dedicate a few minutes each day to completing a section in the course and updating your profile as you progress in real-time.

📆 The best way to ensure that you're actually putting the work in is to schedule that time in your calendar. Did you set time aside in your calendar? No? Do it right now. Seriously, open your calendar and pop an hour block into that bad boy. Here's how to create recurring events in Gmail and Outlook.

  • Complete the suggested activities and quizzes. This is not your run-of-the-mill course where you play the video lessons in the background. I suggest following all the material in real-time. That means creating an account (if you don't already have one), updating your profile, and connecting with people in real-time. Can you imagine trying to remember the tips that were suggested here 4 weeks from now? Me neither.


Here's how the course is broken down. 

This course is predominantly text and picture based, because the building process requires a hands-on touch. Video content can fly by quickly, so the intention here to have you follow the content at your own pace to ensure you don't miss any steps. 

First up are profile basics. Together, we'll set up your profile photo, background header, headline, about section, and more. You should have your own LinkedIn profile pulled up and ready to edit as you progress through each lecture.

The second section is all about being an active participant. Like any social media platform, you get out what you put in. In other words, the more active you are, the better results you'll see from clients and other VAs alike.

The third section is all about networking and finding clients. Networking has become a bad word in business-speak and for good reason. I have no doubt that you've probably received LinkedIn messages from strangers that demand things of you like "buy my eBook!" without ever speaking to you beforehand. 

LinkedIn messaging and connections can make you feel like people have forgotten how to behave like real humans. This course aims to break the chain and get back to the kind of networking and genuine connections that actually lead to income.
